SSTattler: Myself & Sharon & another couple rented a keel-boat in British Virgin Islands years ago. One evening, I lowered the anchor on a beautiful bay; the depth is about 25+/- feet. I went down with mask & flippers to check the anchor is OK for the night. I just touched the anchor and a huge sting-ray rose out in the sand — "holy s**t" in my mind — the string-ray graceful flew away & the anchor was firm for the night!
