I woke 6:15 made coffee. All day long packing. I clean shower, toilet, sink and floor, vacuum. All that is left is food, I ran out of tote. I did the wash clothes, three large loads.
I thought of it all day, why can't doctors here university Colorado hospital, they are specialist in the field.
I am slowly getting mad. I am annoyed at Century RV, lack of communication they are part, finally they come with solution. I am picking up my New RV Trailer. This trailer has been good to me over 10 yrs. I kept it up maintenance and polishing, next owners prescient great shape, still shines like a new penny!!

Sep 23, 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour”
I woke up at 7:00 I had a day old coffee yuck, shower went Starbucks!! Also I went to Walmart pick up more Rubbermaid tote. I packed all day I have all lot stuff. I have 70% done.
Dr. Graham HHT referred to me to Hematologist. I went to the appointment 4:00. Dr Lind said go to Mayo Clinic Scottsdale hematologist. He tried to talk me out of trike riding, because sport too dangerous to hit by car bleed out there. WTF!
I told him fixed my leg. JC. I have clot both legs. He doesn't believe me, he think I had miss nightly pill Coumadin. Six years since I missed daily dose. Nice did guy but pass the buck so to speak to Scottsdale Mayo. I told him on the phone when he called, that I wanted increase Coumadin levels in my body. Him & aww around but finally greed to test my blood next Wednesday. I limp to Denver hoping to solve my problems, again and pass the buck to another hospital. My leg driving hurt. Three hospital's later and lots of money spent, back to where I started.

Long day, too much walking for me, University Colorado Hospital very big! I received Doppler both legs Dr will call I have appointment Wednesday 4:00 Hematologist. Yes I have some clots in my leg but I riding tomorrow.... Short ride loosen my legs up.
I asked HHT Dr Graham if I could ride? His answer wishy-washy. Never said no to riding... I got to ride tomorrow Steer crazy.... I wax my trailer, truck & trike. Whether it's excellent!

Sep 20, 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour”
I packed up my trailer and moved to Cherry Creek State Park. 1hrs drive set up trailer again. Nice day tempted to ride trike, but no I rested all afternoon. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, I will ask Dr. if I could ride Tuesday. I polished my trailer truck and trike, I am stir crazy!
I worked on next years ride Seattle to Boston 3-3 1/2 month. Leaves are turning fall colors, beautiful here Denver Colorado. I like this area that whole trip. Eight point buck walk through the park wow!!

I woke up was 46 degree!! I made coffee and searched Internet and answer emails, until warmed up to go out side and work on the trailer. Older woman works for KOA stop by her golf cart and asked me if I needed anything? I need a step ladder, so then she got it! I worked on front and lot of bugs... Wax shines like new penny!! I didn't clean cents started tour trip 7000 miles. I worked six hours on it always scary climbing step stool. I don't feel my right foot & Poor balance. I really believe Key is push yourself & keep me Young! Surprisingly my left leg doesn't hurt and no swelling!! Every hour sit down and legs up 10min.

I woke up late 7:40am. I needed part for my trailer. I bought my trailer here in Denver 10 yrs ago, So why I went to trailer outfit, no part, when there I looked around! I saw one kind of interesting. They after that I rested said my leg.

I woke up at 6 am, beautiful out I slept with my doors and windows open! I had to run errands Walmart fill my prescription for groceries & I stopped for Truck wash! There is herd of deer here Cherry Creek State Park!!
I am on Lovenox 2 shot per day & Coumadin. I think my blood to thin now because I shot my self in stomach needle hole blooding out. Once per day shot, good enough until I met HHT Doctor Monday. I am Not good sitting around all day long.

I drove 3 1/2hrs to Denver staying at Cherry Creek State Park. I set up trailer, take me 1/2hrs. My left leg is still sore. I want to ride but ER said they're not to.
On happier note; I had dinner with attractive lady! We eat at Pappadeaux food was excellent!

I drove to Big Springs NE. I stop every hour to walk. I stayed at Mcgreer Camper Park.
Mrs Mcgreer is nice woman, she pick out of her Garden peppers!! Her husband had a birthday she bake the pie blueberry, she walked over to my trailer with still warm pie. Wow Best I ever had, I was honored share with me.

I woke 9:00am I made coffee, pondered my options. I feel like a fool, running around yesterday like Madman. Two set of separate pinions from ER Doctors. I have to fill my prescription off to Walmart I go. Waiting fill my scooter back to TV section Big mistake I pick 39 Philips Smart TV last years model half price. I am not big TV watcher.
Both ER doctors said driving 2 hour and get out of the truck walk around. I tended on stopping ever hour.
Rochester Mayo HHT Minnesota is 3 1/2 hrs from here, but is wrong. Denver CO. 10 hrs HHT clinic. Phoenix AZ is 22 hrs NO HHT clinic. Too hot. I live in Gilbert Arizona.
I don't have HHT doctor. I like to have meet HHT doctor somewhere, closest Denver or San Diego I am leaning towards Denver.
I staying here Newton Iowa Sunday morning. I just want peace and quiet, rest my leg.
Next Council Bluffs night there slow make my way to Denver. I will be there Denver 15th through 25th
I met Ricky & Mike here KOA invite me over to eat supper! They have 5th wheel big trailer Nice kitchen! Last thing I never given myself a shot in stomach, went OK.

I woke up 6:00am my leg same. Family and friends around me telling me to go to the emergency room. Over coffee I decided to go to Newton Iowa ER. I explain situation, hook me up to all kinds of machines, they wanted to start IV, I said NO.... They ruled out heart attack..... Duuuu.
Dr come in pleaded with me for hook IV. I asked him what for? His reply check my Coumadin levels(blood thinning). Drop of blood needed to do the test, both hospitals clinics my doctors office has special device, finger prick all that drop blood needed. Again I said NO.... I explain to Dr. that Coumadin levels same nine years.
ER Dr ordered Doppler on my left leg. Doppler test already show Old clots & new clots. Dr. come in wanted ambulance to bigger hospital, put in filters my blood veins. Earlier I told him to filters in my body already, but he seems skeptical. 3 1/2 hrs pass sense I arrived in ER, no time to call my doctor figure out filters in place or not. Nurse came in to discharge me, because I refused to treatment. She referring to IV. WTF I asked can you draw my blood with out IV? Nurse vanished, came back and doctors said fine, nurse drew my blood without IV. Two hours later results came in, Number of Coumadin in my body, supposed to between 2.5 - 3 my is 3.3 little bit high. Dr. urged me to go to bigger hospital Mercy, discharge me.
I went back to my trailer to think. I called my doctors office and spoke to his p/a they want me to check in bigger hospital as well. P/A worried about my lose leg. So I pack my over night bag and made arrangements with Newton KOA (sane, nice people) to keep my trailer state.
I drove to Mercy ER Des Moines. I brought in the Doppler test CD with me, No paper work. Mercy ER call Newton ER, I don't know if they responded. I think not.
Newton ER send me to Mercy ER Dr disagreed to put in more filters in my body. Ok fine, neither Dr's to see if really had filters in place. I told them that I don't remember for sure placement of filters. Never called my doctor to order records. ER gave me a shot Lovenox, another blood thinner. Gave me the scripting to fill. So started me on Lovenox, & keeping Coumadin dose.
Mercy ER discharge me last night 1:45am. No dinner, I was tired and cranky. I had to drive one hour.

John help me take old trailer and hook it up to my truck. I said goodbye to John and Kate, I thank them for letting me stay in the ranch! I envy them beautiful round things, horse's, butterfly, cricket, dogs & cat! I drove 7 hrs to Newton KOA Iowa. My left leg very sore and swollen. I set up my trailer and snack and can of soup.

I woke up late 8:10am. My left leg sore, I stretched it and walk on it. I went to Walmart wise and blue and red LED rope lights. I ran my truck through car wash. I can't stop, Science out Best Way to hang rope lights, on frame of my RV Trailer. Why not do something rest my legs? So I call crawled around trailer hang lights!! Plus you want something done Right do it yourself. I am one hand it, you ever tried left hand tying zip ties?, so took all day. John cook a pizza while I washing clothes.

John, Oscar & I went riding 40 miles at Cardinal Greenway. Very nice Rails trail! We stop for lunch at Olives Garden. On the way back I had flat on rear wheel, John & Oscar changed tube for me. 1miles further happen again. So John and Oscar road to the bike shop and bought two and new tire. John & Oscar changed tire & tube for me. John knows another bike shop on the trail we stop by there just did chain length & Inspected wheel. Just got back to John's band started raining, we drove through Heavy rain!

I moved my trailer other side of John's house. I wanted to run air-conditioning and too long of a run to Barn, blew the circuit. I need minimum 20 amp. Work on reservations for Denver.
John, Oscar, Fred, Bob and me web on group dinner ride on Monon it is Great RailsTrails!! 24 miles Fred Big Shot at state fair, so he gave me private tour grounds!! 87-90 degree 65 humid, Hot and sticky!! Barely I keep up with Fred and John! We ate at nice restaurant by RailsTrail, Carol Fred's wife met us there. Good thing John had flat tire, John rode with her home.

I rode very nice RailsTrail call "Monon" 36.3 miles! Little pain with my left leg! Which surprised me. It rained on me, 89 degree & 70 humid felt good! Monon is well maintained. I stopped for lunch at Bub's next rail trail! Food was good! Came cross smell very allure to me, it was hard wood company sawing Cherry hardwood. I stop by trike, Breath in the smell, smell triggers good memories. John & Kate made awesome dinner!! Pork ribs on the grill my favorite!

Roz & I had together at 8am my trailer. We went to Home Depot. I got more wax towels & wax & Goo Gone. I got one propane tank filled up, Roz's 3 daughters went to ice cream with me!! I detail outside window and door jams with Goo Gone, over the years build up traffic scum & black mold in caulking. It is a lot of work keeping trailer like new.

Roz & I had together at 8am my trailer. I take off sheets my bed, Roz wash it, your girls did make bed! I painted my stove top cover, Looks bran new! All week maintenance on the trailer. Roz made wonderful dinner for us, pork spareribs, pork chops, baked potato and a corn on the cob!! I getting fat!! All week I take it easy recharge my batteries.

Roz & I had together at 8am! Roz & I did shopping together, we hit Home Depot and Walmart. I had list go for trailer, I bought new faucet for drink water purifier. John Roz's husband is plumber he hooked it up for me and tighten down the regular faucet!! I have problems awning getting it up & down. John figured it out, one piece bow or bent. I never used it 10 years maybe 3-4 times.

Roz & I had together at 7:30 am my coffee making! I try to ride Flint Michigan River Walk, this path poorly maintained, garbage all over, homeless people, trail was poorly mark, not good. 4 miles in to it I turn around start to rain 1/2 back to truck. I will not recommend Flint River Walk Trail. Way back I stop by RV place just look around. My trailer is nice, but 11 yrs old, so new innovations like out door kitchen, Power awning and jack, illuminate 1/2 the work setting up or taking down trailer.

Last night during thunderstorm large bang I didn't think about it till this morning opened up my back a truck....oh ok blow tired! So I change tired & tube I am one handed , luckily I had spare but miss match. So I rode to Bay City. Jack's Bicycle Shop guys there helpfully match set now New Shoe!! 23.4 miles Rail Trail & Marina boardwalk. I saw like used to have boat Cruise Yachts whole other life ago..... Now I glad to have live throw my stroke, I think better for it, Happier now, I am search good woman put up with me!

I was up early, doing wash, vacuum, clean shower, take Garbage, Pack up trailer, hook up truck, drive to Bay City 3 1/2 hrs, I unhook & set trailer up. Just in nick time heavy rain come in. Big tree fell down 6 sites away... Wow scary.

Bill, Dick, Gustave & I rode to Harbor Spring for Breakfast, we met men' club. Where I shared my story briefly touching on key point, HHT caused my stroke, Don't give up! Not too late to try trike. I announced that working on next year ride 3 month. It start with Seattle to Boston June 1 stoping off Glacier National Park, Washington DC. We tour Harbor Spring Marine & back KOA 27 miles. I went to hot tub again, soaking my left leg much better!

I rode Bill & Dick to Charlevoix on way there stop for coffee at Stained Cup we met some ladies there and they were commented my trike, so I gave them postcards, quickly I told my story, one woman is yoga instructor. I have meaning to roll in yoga classes, Woman was little older than me, wow she had nice body! Once we get to Charlevoix we eat lunch at The Weathervain I rode 47 miles today! I baby my left leg and right leg take over, knou I had to concentrate on right leg hard to do, no feeling my right leg. My power side is left. The weather was perfect sunny 64-70 degree, little bit windy but coming back tail wind!! I went to hot tub again, soaking my left leg much better.

I worry about my leg 4-6 days ago start hurting, I believe not clot but torn muscle... I rode with Bill first day & Dale Second day, both of them Complexioned riders. I am competitive, need I say more!! I take day off from riding & Raining today so I did haircut and Walgreens fill my prescription and ate lunch in town. Went to the pool and hot tub, clean Nice area. Soaking my left leg in the Jets it Petoskey KOA beautiful park. Friendly people! Fins up!!

Leonard and Sally Timm and Dick and Bill 14 miles on the rail trail, went to breakfastat Alanson Depot very good omelette, and informal, I told my story. On the way back stop by bakery!!! I can't help it I have a sweet tooth! Both sides of the rail trail flowers blooming!! We went to fish hatchery was awesome! I met Dick's morning, he invited me to Tucson for two weeks, he rides with Tucson group RV park 25 riders, I trying to get network I soaking in hot tub again. Wow Petoskey KOA Great!! I believe not clot but torn muscle... My leg slowly gets better.

I say goodbye friend seems like old friend, Donna & Marshall, Donna showed me her favorite rides & Marshall favorite fishing hole, together showed me northern hospitality! Rapid River MI I volunteered Donna to be my connections upper peninsula MI I packed up trailer, I drive 4 hrs to Petoskey MI & set up trailer. I meet Bill & Kathy here in Petoskey KOA beautiful RV Park. Bill is bike riding, he took me 17.3 miles to Harbor Springs Road Bill is 70s ride like in 40s!! Bill bills family around here he grow up here so he knows lots of history. Private tour!! Bill invited me to supper with them, Bill & Kathy took me out to fancy restaurant.. Bay View Inn I had prime rib and potatoes and green beans and salad!! (cheapest thing on the menu) Bill wants to organize bike ride Monday & Tueday and I said yes, I want to talk to the group!

Donna & I rode The Heritage Bike Path in Marquette MI. Beautiful scenery next to Lake's Superior! I did 20.2 miles. Donna turn to break down, so we were at bike shop when we meet Steve & Kelly Wakkuri. Steve had stroke 8 yrs ago, he is riding adult tricycle. His words our found "Freedom" keep up work Steve!!

I say goodbye new friend Troy, Troy accomplished riding, we ride again soon! I drove to Donna house in Rapid River MI. On the way there I stop by Chainey Bakery in Florece WI wow separately good bakery. I met owners John & Pam Pietrantonio wonderful people, John was instrumental starting Rails to Trails & bike path his in area! Thank you for the donation!
SFS saving up for 2 folding trikes. I want to safely teach stroke survivors and brain injury people how easy it is to get back their life. I want to work with them a couple months & see if they want it bad enough to work at it. Freedom takes time and perseverance. I will show them how to set up "Go Fund Me" and if they like trikes they will buy their own.

July 31 / 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour"
Troy, Donna & I rode Northwoods Eagle River WI 5 miles in the ride my derailed start acting up, plus # 3-4 on Cassette slipping I turned back before the hills start. I limped back to the trailer & waiting for bike show open up. "Forever Young Bike Shop" very helpful. Was 11:15am to late start ride, so I called masseuse move my appointment up!! Carol at "Kneaded Relief" was awesome, I told her concentrate on shoulders and legs & she did wow no Poopoo massage here!!

Troy, Donna & I rode Northwoods ride 65.7 miles perfect day weather is good 63-75 degree but windy 15-20 mph mostly in the woods all day, lots of hills short & steep. My knee ache... Beautiful scenery

Tour. Troy, Donna & I rode first Northwoods ride 57.6 miles. Beautiful scenery! 68-80 degree sunny no wind. I meet lot of riding & pass my postcard. Sitting at my dinner table a Doctor, he works with stroke survivors, he asked me to come to Oklahoma to speak & presentation!

I drove to Rhinelander WI for Northwoods Tour put on by Pedal Across WI. 4 hrs drive not bad. I meet Donna 2 years ago riding Door County Tour. Troy, Donna & I went "Tune Up" ride 20.6 miles. Talk other riding about Spokes Fighting Strokes at ice cream social!!

Troy & I rode rode Munger Trail 21 miles other way south. Threatening skies, sprinkled & rain on us. We eat in Carlton at Sreetcar good food good waitress! We ran in to Bike & Build young adult, visit http://bikeandbuild.org/cms/ they were well mannered makes me proud call cyclist.

July 24 / 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour"
Troy & I rode rode Munger Trail 32.5 miles but trailer close one section. No sign tell you how to pick up trail again, I ask several people finally we found it. Nice ride, beautiful scenery, towards it and the ride little bit hot and humid 80-87 degree. We eat at Iron Mug Coffee House great food!!

July 23 / 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour"
I say by Shirley Zimmerman and Jack going to sale property next years, they getting up there on years, too much to take of 10 acres on Crow Wring River. Beautiful spot thank you Shirley letting me stay there!! I had wonderful birthday there!!!! I drive to Duluth MN stay in Buffalo House RV Park. Meeting Troy another stroke survivor, Troy is cyclist & staying with me!

July 23 / 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour"
I rode with Lakes Area Bike Bike Club Tuesday dinner ride. 21riding 16 miles hilly ride, again fast group left me "in your dust" not long hills but steep, luckily Bob Hamann stay with me! After ride Connie annual buffet at her lake house, Peeled pork, beans, coleslaw, fruit salad with five kind of dessert! You know me, I pig out specially dessert! Connie ask me if I want "Dog Bag" I should have answered yes!! Thanks Joan for donation! I joyed meeting Lake Area Bike Club, riding so nice me, small atmosphere!

July 20 / 2015 - "Rails to Trails Tour"
Paul Bunyan Trail 121 miles I got to PBT Pelican Lake MN I rode alone 52.6 miles. Beautiful flowers, perfect weather 77-82 degree sunny but windy! I stop to talk to riding, one such attractive rider Linda and her son Kyle. Kyle first Long distance around trip 240 miles, Linda & Kyle keep it up!! Then meet couple from Germany they are biking around Minnesota. I visiting with 12 riding all & all! Perfect day all missing is Cat riding partner, get well soon maybe come back to RTT.

I move truck & trailer to Motley Minnesota where Shirley Z my step mom lives. I set up trailer (I miss Zach for helping me) I didn't fill fresh water on trailer, every place I stay at have water Spicket, don't need to, so I thought. Big storm rolled in, rain & wind and tornado, scary! No power for days! So depended on electricity, No water, Shirley has a well but Pump is electrical... I got my sign for truck!!

LITTLE CANADA to CROSBY FARM. I rode with 20 riding today Don Hopkins lead us for TCBC Twin Cities Bike Club 33 miles! We stop eat lunch at Cossetta's good pizza! I talk lot of riding, one such rider attractive woman knew name of HHT! Wow I ask she nurse or doctor? She relied practicing practitioner! Forgot to get her name and email address geez... Nice ride! Excellent weather 73 degree. Wayne thank you for donation!!

Another great ride TCBC Phill lead us 6 riding on 18.4 miles relax ride. Good thing I picked relaxing ride because, I rode old Catrike 700 6 weeks now, whole different feel my trike, shifting gears and tires different. I met Patrick who suffered brain stem accident also riding Catrike Expedition he has nine trikes! Wow I get busy buying replacement trike!!

Tater Tour Red Route. TCBC. Craig Larson lead us 17 rider, it was so beautiful trail 18 miles through the woods, river over dam. I plan on informal speaking to the group at lunch, but tree had fallen off the path, when I turn trike around, starting out broke the broom. Wow thank god it happen at 1 mph...... I had using my 7 yrs old trike, now I switch to two year old trike, Zachary was using it. Thanks Kevin for getting my truck to me, Kevin gave up his ride for me. Hate to part it out, old trike, it save my life, literally. Lots of struggles first two years, looking back, maybe hang it on the garage wall. Anybody loaner trike Zach could use?

Golden Valley meander to Gray's Bay. Lois Carlson ride leader, me & 14 other bikers, lead us through Rail Trails and bike paths and roads 26 miles. We rode through the woods and awesome scenery! The weather perfect for riding 70 degree cloudy no wind. I meet lots of neat people, I told myself story.

Zach & I pack up RV trailer 15 min flat. Zach does know routine by now!! We drove 4 hrs to Bloomington Minnesota, my brother John Zimmerman lives there. We unhooked RV trailer and set it up. Katie made awesome dinner for us.

I rode alone River Loop 24 mile, started sprinkling when I got on trike. Half way through ride started raining, no wind, refreshing!! Time I was finished thoroughly soaked to the bone, I had on riding & short. Fast ride, 1 hr 1/4. I like riding some times alone, this was fun! Thank you Dona for getting in touch with the newspaper! Thanks "Harlan's Bike and Tour" Top Service and Parts!! Good by for now Sioux Falls South Dakota. We are driving to Minnesota Twin Cities.

Cat shamed me into learning how to change tires. Not easy one handed. I used my old Catrike 700 while Zach rides my new new Catrike 700. I know front tire wore, I try to not change them, new tire left over for Road to Margaritaville Tour, call me lazy! Before ride I changed them. I rode with Donna 24 miles River Loop. Less traffic and we took pictures. Weathers was perfect 72-74 but windy we did reverse the course climb hills first, trail wind all the way back!

Zach & I rode with Donna & Travis at "Tour Sioux Falls" SD. Wow beautiful scenery we rode next to River, we dear, rabbit, geese ducks, lots of friendly people show up! We rode River loop 24 miles, Zach did great, little bit tired!! I had flat tire, but end got food at food truck! "Harlan's Bike and Tour" set up Booth so I wheel down there 50 yard away!! Harlan people take care of me thanks Harlan !!!

Roz & I had together at 8am my trailer. I take off sheets my bed, Roz wash it, your girls did make bed! I painted my stove top cover, Looks bran new! All week maintenance on the trailer. Roz made wonderful dinner for us, pork spareribs, pork chops, baked potato and a corn on the cob!! I getting fat!! All week I take it easy recharge my batteries.
