Carol (the client) is a 70 yr. old female who suffered from a left middle cerebral artery stroke (both upper and lower trunks) two days ago when she collapsed at the home she shares with her daughter and grandson. Client presents with global aphasia, ideational and motor apraxia, right hemiplegia, and impared postural control for seated and standing activities. The setting is acute care where the client is working with an Occupational Therapist to perform oral care with moderate assistance after setup.
