Summer is Ending and Fall is Rapidly Approaching

Greetings to our friends who have expressed interest in Make Rocks Talk and The Teaching of Talking. Just thought I would bring you up to date on what has been happening with our new book entitled: "The Teaching of Talking, Learn to do Expert Speech and Language Stimulation at Home with Children and Adults."
  • We presented at the Aphasia Recovery Connection June meeting in Las Vegas, and presented to caregivers and those with aphasia. The subject of the presentation was "Increasing the Odds of Success with Speech Therapy. In that 30 minute presentation, I shared with the audience what I believed to be the key foundation points for success with speech therapy. Having practiced speech therapy for over 40 years, it was time to share with those who have been extremely thirsty for information. The presentation is on Pinterest at http://www.pinterest.com/markittleman/boards/ At the ARC meeting we also met with many people who had aphasia and offered suggestions for speaking improvement.
  • The Teaching of Talking has been selling very well on Amazon, and we received Best Selling Author Status in August. I am indebted to those individuals all over the world who have reached out through our new book, so that they could learn ways to help their loved ones speak again. We have had such positive feedback about the book on Amazon: Teaching of Talking.
  • UPDATE:  Teaching of Talking has just been released by audible.com in Audio Book format.  Please check it out, as you can listen to the book in your car, while exercising, or while reading simultaneously with you paperback edition.  Audio book is found by clicking this link:  Teaching of Talking.
  • We are preparing to visit State Speech and Hearing Associations and Aphasia Support groups and clubs during the upcoming year. The Teaching of Talking Van will be visiting many cities and states in the upcoming months and years. We plan on sharing with those who have aphasia what they and their loved ones can do at home to improve speaking, as many insurance companies have been curtailing clinical services.
Please drop me a line at markittleman@teachingoftalking.com and let me know how you are doing with our book, or if you are interested in our mentoring program to help caregivers apply the information they are learning from The Teaching of Talking. Please look for updated information that we shall be sharing through our posts. Much is in the works. We are committed to the idea of training speech language pathologists, parents, caregivers and loved ones in methods to help their loved ones speak.

Let me know if I can be of any service to you.

Best regards,
Mark
