¹ SEO means "Search Engine Optimization" used by computer / marketing guys.

Comments about an article "HMKDITTCaL: ASEOSG"

"In the marketing world, there are a ton of bad SEO jokes:
Where do you hide a dead body?
But beyond the one-liners, SEO is some serious stuff. Especially when it comes to keeping your white hat squarely on your head.

SEO helps your business by ranking your site – the higher your website ranks, the higher the chances of visits to your site. Basic SEO is fundamental – and essential – but it takes time to master it."
Well, I was in the business to make a compilers before my stroke and I didn't have a clue about HTML/CSS about building the web sites except that I did know lexical / syntax / semantics HTML and acquiring knowledge on an academic subject. SEO, for example, I did not even occur to me. It will take time to master it.

"What are the Benefits of SEO

SEO isn’t going anywhere. And as search engines grab more of the market share – 92 percent of customers regularly read online reviews – it won’t be long before everyone is online searching for something.

And you want to be at the top of their search?"
As well, my customers, stroke survivors and professional, is very small but I prefer to be Stroke Survivors Tattler with Saturday News and, at least, my customers is around the world (153 countries this year by Google Analytics).

"SEO is good for social media. A webpage with high rankings will also gain more social media exposure. The relationship between SEO and social media is co-dependent – social media popularity is good for SEO purposes and SEO brings more social media visibility."
Yes but how can I do it? Hmmm, I'll have think about it more...

"How to Do it Right

"SEO isn’t a one-time event. Nor is it about instant gratification. Search engine algorithms change regularly and results often take months to see. SEO requires a long-term outlook and commitment. So commit yourself to the process and be patient.

Below are some additional to-dos to keep in mind:
  • Build a great web site. While this may seem like a no brainer..."
Well my artist technique is questionable for SSTattler - 1) I could take lessons but it will take a lot of time?, 2) I'm sure there are (free) artists in Edmonton?, 3) other ways ?...
  • "Have web analytics in place at the start and use them. SEO isn’t only about massive amounts of free traffic."
I used Google Analytics from the start. But how can do more than the obvious things e.g. I think there are more interesting stroke people (say at least 10 times) but they do not know my site, stroke-survivors.org. How will I increase the web traffic about 2 times, 3 times,...???
  • "Create great content with readers in mind. Readers are looking for information that solves a problem, not a sales pitch."
Great readers and often have the "start-of-the-stroke" but they want more and more info...
  • "Optimize for the right keywords. Take advantage of free keyword tools..."
My "keywords" is about the site e.g. Guest Blogger, ▶ WeeklyColumnists, ▶ YouTube,... I think search with stroke ▶ Advanced Search in SSTattler is great - if you did not use it then try it - it is much useful than "keywords".
  • In conclusion, completion, end, final… With a few simple tweaks to your SEO strategy...
I do not think so, but it is better than before...
