YouTube: Driving a Vehicle After A Stroke

Learn the steps you need to take to drive after a stroke. Your vision and memory can impair your ability to drive, however, if you pay attention to these impairments during rehabilitation you can prepare your self to drive again. It is important to meet with your physician to obtain a prescription to receive a driving evaluation at Brooks Rehabilitation. (This video was made in Florida - minor terminology is different in Edmonton).

I tried to get low or free price at the people http://www.UniversalUclick.com/ for the images for the cartoons.  It was too high for Stroke Survivors Tattler i.e. we are not a regular newspaper and our budget is very low.  Fortunately, you will have to do only 1-click more to see the cartoon image, it is legit and it is free using  GoComics.com and Dilbert.com.

News – Centre for Stroke Recovery - January 2012

See the Newsletter: RECOVERY News – January 2012

I solved the problem of wet slippery shampoo.

I solved the problem of wet slippery shampoo & body wash bottles in the  shower! Last night a new bottle of baby shampoo slipped & half of the  content was lost not to mention the floor tiles in the roll in got slippery.  ... SOLUTION: Today I found some wide rubber bands & slipped them onto the bottles, now even when wet the bottles stay put when holding them & won't slide out of your soapy hands... EUREKA!

I found the wide elastic rubber bands at WalMart in a variety bag of different widths & sizes.

Thought this tip might be helpful to pass along.

The results of the first poll:
This is the first trial poll (see above) and based on BlogSpot tools.  It works just OK but it is too limited for the kind of useful and bigger polls.  For the next, second,  poll we will try to use Google tools  - it is free and much more powerful than BlogSpot.  We are in the middle devising the second poll based on Google and it going to be published sometime in February - I think it is going to be much better. If you have question(s) about strokes and you want the answer to a kind of poll just e-mail me, SSTattler, and I will tell you exactly how to do it and when!
