Pete Therapy at Kessler**
Uploaded on Jun 4, 2008** SSTattler: Pete has a licences for the Service Dog and part of Pete's task is Therapy Dogs.
Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is utilizing the services of a specially trained dog named Pete, part Lab, part Golden Retriever, to help patients recuperate from stroke and other medical conditions. While other pet therapy dogs at medical institutions simply pay patients visits, making them feel good, Pete actually works with these patients as they go through their therapy routine, playing catch, retrieving, etc. (Video by John O'Boyle)

Roger C. Peace Rehab Hospital Introduces Lonnie the Facility Dog
Published on Dec 17, 2012Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital launched a unique breed of paws-on therapy when it added a specially trained therapy dog to its ranks in 2012.
Lonnie, who sports his GHS Id badge on his service vest, is a Lab mix. He was especially bred and trained for his job by Canine Companions for Independence, a California-based non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs.
Lonnie, who's routinely greeted by cheers throughout RCP, knows more than 40 commands, said Kathryn Katko, at RCP. He has worked with many patients since coming on board in November. His therapy duties include balance and hand-eye coordination work with patients through activities disguised as playing fetch with balls or beanbags. Lonnie also provides unconditional encouragement for patients as they struggle to regain everyday activities in the wake of injuries, strokes and traumatic brain injuries.

Service Dogs Always Allowed: It's the Law
Published on Jul 6, 2012The law gives people with service dogs the right to go pretty much anywhere they want to go. But you may be surprised to hear how many businesses don't know that.
Comments:
Lillieannen Sorensen My college student works as a night manager at a supermarket chain. As part of his training he had to memorize chapter and verse of the federal law re service dogs to parrot back to customers who complained about them.
Ruben Laporte Some places say no dogs allow except service/assistance dogs.
Ruben Laporte Service dogs should be allow to go anywhere, even places that don't allow dogs. I know some places that said no dogs allow, except service/medical assisis.
Jesse Salumon I think I should get this on my phone and show it to the next person who says I dont need one.
Jay Lauren "Four on the floor" she shouldn't be carrying her service dog in a cart . As of 2011 ADA specifies the dog should be on the floor at all times unless some danger would be present.
RebeccaSouthCarolina I agree. I was in Dollar General and they said that I can't bring in my service dog. I told them the ADA info they said I don't care. Thanks for this video.

Skye - 'Boot Camp' Training Day 1
Uploaded on Jul 13, 2009Skye, a close relation to Harmony, is here for a couple of weeks of training. She has a great temperament, but is a powerhouse and feels she is queen of the world... now learning that she's actually a 'princess', and as such still needs to heed mom's advice. And not break any necks in the process.
This is day 1 of her training sessions, so it is a bit longer to include some evaluation 'before training started' footage. She wasn't interested in food yet, so we only used the ball and praise... eventually I'll switch over to food much of the time, assuming that she'll stay calmer than me activating her prey drive every time I want to really reward her.
