If the stroke left you with the use of one-hand tie shoes can be a problem but you can:
- get shoes with velcro straps or slip on,
- get elastic laces,
- learn to tie shoes with one-hand.
Two videos show to tying with one-hand and only 1-end-of-the-lace (and the other end has a knot). You lace with 1-end-of-the-lace through all the holes and then pull it tight. Look at the two videos, video-1 & video-2, until you get the "trick". At first time it will take about 10 minutes to get the "trick", then 5 minutes, ... , 2 seconds! At the end, you can tie your laces about the same time with one-handed as equal with two-handed.
Look at video-3, video-4, video-5, to see how it works hiking/work boots; from nothing, i.e. no laces, to the whole laces with hiking/work boots with 1-end laces.

Too fast to follow limited view of knot used. very frustrating to attempt to do after watching these videos. I am an amputee and this just served to get on my last nerve.
